The Trump Organization has announced it is changing its name to the Ace Club after its fight club in New Jersey was named after the Kobold fighter, Ace of Spades.
Trump announced on Twitter on Friday that the new Ace of Club is named for Ace of Sticks, a character from the 1980s TV series The Kobold.
Trump’s tweet drew a strong response, with one user writing: “Just got off the phone with @realDonaldTrump and he has made me a Kobold fan.
Kobolds, or the “dwarfs,” were a nomadic people who lived in the northern parts of the world and fought alongside other humanoids in a nomad culture that originated from ancient China.
They were the original Kobolds and were believed to have first appeared in China in the 19th century.
The Kobolds were known for their ferocious fighting style and their ability to take down large groups of enemies.
The Ace of clubs will feature a variety of different types of combat footwear, including the “Kobold Fight Club” shoe, which Trump said is “the most important shoes in the world.”
The Trump Organization also released a statement saying it “gives back to the Kobolds” through its Ace of Knives, the Ace Clubs Ace of Hearts, the “Diamond Art Club” and the “Knucklehead” shoe.
The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to ABC News’ request for comment.
